Hey, I’m Aimee

I’m a photographer and branding expert on a mission to help kiwi actors stand-out and get booked with head turning portraits.

I’m a lifestyle photographer, which means I take authentic images that don’t feel too forced or posey.

As well as being a photographer,I also studied film and spent many years as the marketing manager for TV2, so I have a truly nerd-level love of all things film & television!

I’m betting that despite pursuing a career on screen, you maybe think you’re not that photogenic, and you probably feel like a bit of a knob in front of the camera?

Don’t worry, I get it!

That’s why I’ll ensure you’re well prepared before your shoot, you have simple (and fun!) direction on the day, and you never have to worry about how to pose your hands or whether you’re showing too many chins.

No set number of shots taken.

Also great for performers looking to create a varied portfolio for talent and modelling work or where a full body shot is useful.

The ideal choice for young performers looking to get started in the industry and any actors wanting a top-notch headshot for industry use (e.g. IMDB profile), agency/personal websites and social media.

EXPRESS HEADSHOT

INCLUDES:

Headshots only (focus on just the traditional tight casting shot).
45 mins of shoot time at my Three Kings, Auckland location.
Up to 3 outfit changes.
A limited mix of plain backdrops and environmental backgrounds.
Comprehensive Prep Guide (to take the stress out of getting ready).
Online gallery delivery.
Keep 5 images (purchase additional images a la carte). Image usage license provided.

WHO IT’S BEST FOR:

Got a new hairstyle and need a top-up? Student on a tight budget?
Only recommended for those that have plenty of experience in front of the camera or who have worked with me before as there is less time for direction, changes and settling in. Due to the limited timeframe there will be less variety in your final image set.

PROFESSIONAL HAIR & MAKE-UP - ADD $390

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

You’ll be pampered and polished to perfection by one of my favourite hair and make up artists. Working with your preferences, this pro HMuA will ensure you look and feel incredible on camera. Then they’ll stay on-site to make sure fly-aways and flecks are tamed, hair styles can be altered for variety, and make-up can be tweaked if you want to go from blank slate to vah-vah-voom over the course of the shoot.

These Actors Headshots & Portraits might not be right for you if…

❌ You’re happy to keep trying your luck with old headshots and amateur iPhone snaps.

❌ You’re not ready to invest in yourself by getting top-end professional photography.

❌ You specifically require a studio lit photo on a white or plain cyclorama (e.g. this may be required for stunt work or some modelling jobs).

Questions

  • I’m based in Three Kings, Auckland.

  • Bring as many options as you like! We can pick through them together and find the best looks that represent you. You’ll receive a comprehensive Prep Guide complete with wardrobe suggestions when you book.

    Variety of tops is more important than bottoms.

    If you're booking an Express Headshot please note you will only be photographed in 3 outfit choices.

  • Your images will be professionally polished in my signature natural style. Think of it as the very best version of you!

    Temporary marks like pimples, spots and bruises will be removed, but anything permanent (like scars or birth marks) will be left in. Skin tone will be evened out - but you won’t be smoothed to look like plastic! It’s important you still look like you!

  • Absolutely. It’s important that you reflect as many facets of yourself as possible so that you can open up those casting possibilities.

    If you choose to book optional Hair and Make Up (highly recommended!) the HMUA will stay on site for the duration of the session to help you vary your hair and make up styles.

  • The Express Headshots session is limited to 45 minutes and is really only recommended to those that have worked with me before, have lots of experience and just need a top up.

    Otherwise, I like to book a longer session so that you have plenty of time to relax into your shoot and warm up on camera. It's best to put aside a few hours.

  • Students on a tight budget and those needing a quick top up to reflect a new hair style or look, the Express Headshot session might be for you.

    Just keep in mind that with a time restricted session there is less opportunity to relax and get a wide variety of shots. So this type of session is only really recommended for those that have worked with me in the past.
